Twenty-three is a big number for MJ, so Nike design vet Tinker Hatfield took on the task of making the XX3 as innovative as the III and the XI. “It’s held together through a mechanical process that uses computerized stitching of special thread and materials-as opposed to glues-to create little waste,” says Hatfield. “It’s one of the lightest high-performance shoes ever, with a seamless interior that’s comfortable and strong.”
