Actual ending: After battling his way out of the creepy Slovakian headquarters of Elite Hunting, beleaguered tourist Paxton hears the voice of his friend's torturer, follows him into a bathroom and slits his throat.

M. Night's ending: A follow-up phone call from customer service reveals that Paxton is actually a client of Super-Elite Hunting, a for-pay company with services that let you be tortured to the point of near death, then coincidentally run into your tormenter and kill the bastard frontier-style.
