With the lower shoulder loosened up, it’s time to start on the shoulders themselves. I run my thumbs just above—not on—the top of the shoulder blade. Things are finally going smoothly…until I ask her to recite some dirty limericks I’d prepared. Apparently “I love it when Jack rubs my ass” isn’t poetic. Everybody’s a critic.
