Ilan Hall
DRIED CHERRY CRANBERRY SAUCE
“This is an adaptation from my father. The natural tartness of cranberries is more enjoyable than a really sweet dessert sauce. I added Manischewitz. It’s close to my heart—the first time I got drunk was on Manischewitz. It tastes like grape juice and girls love it. And it’s cheap.”

1/2 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup Manischewitz wine
Zest of one lemon
12 oz. cranberries (fresh)
6 oz. dried cherries
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. red pepper flakes

Combine water, wine and sugar in a pan. Bring to boil and add cherries, cranberries, zest, salt and red pepper, and return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Cool and eat. Home // ENTERTAINMENT // FEATURES // Ilan Hall: Thanks to You // Dried Cherry Cranberry Sauce
