So the thing about George Lucas is he’s a giant racist. That’s why Jar Jar Binks was modeled after Doug E. Doug in Cool Runnings, why Sebulba was a Jewish-merchant caricature, and why Lando Calrissian’s co-pilot in Jedi was Chinese. He didn’t actually speak Chinese—he spoke some Kenyan dialect—but Lucas is a fucking racist anyway. Plus he made Greedo shoot first.
