Complex and Suzuki Celebrate Busabeats in NYC
On January 22, Complex and Suzuki joined together to celebrate Busabeats with a special event at New York's LEVANTeast at The Hotel on Rivington. The evening was hosted by the 2009 winner of the Busabeats MC Battle, JPigg and also featured hot sets from DJs Ayres and VinRoc. Over 300 guests, including Tap Out founders Skyscrape and Punkass, Miss Info and DJ Neil Armstrong, had the chance to check out two amazing custom Suzuki Hayabusas on display revealed earlier in the day at the International Motorcycle Show. This March, the battle is back on and one lucky wannabe MC will have the chance to win a customized ‘Busa designed by Nick Anglada. Kid Cudi x Boost Mobile
More than 500 guests lined up outside the grand opening of the Boost Mobile store in Brooklyn, NY on Thursday, September 24, 2009. Hot 97’s Funk Master Flex threw down on the 1’s and 2’s while Kid Cudi addressed a screaming crowd by signing autographs and donating $10,000 to the Urban Assembly School of Music and Arts.
Sobe Lifewater Summer Fridays - July 2009
SoBe Lifewater hosts its second event in its Summer Friday's series at Stephan Weiss Studios in NYC. The Drive-in Movie Theater theme featured cars by Classic Car Club, EA Wii games, Spike Lee's Passing Strange: The Movie, catering by Lure Fishbar, and custom SoBe Lifewater and Ciroc cocktails.
New Era Spring Apparel Launch Party
On Feb 12, Complex and New Era celebrated the launch of the new spring apparel collection at the New Era flagship store in NYC. Over 300 tastemakers got a glipse of the apparel line, drank complimentary Heineken and Heineken Light and created an impromptu dance floor while Dj Mel DeBarge rocked the wheels of steel.
JC Cognac First Listen Session with Jim Jones
On January 29, Complex partnered with JC Cognac for the Jim Jones "First Listen Session" at Ella Lounge in downtown Manhattan. Event goers sipped complimentary cocktails courtesy of JC Cognac while previewing Jone's new album, Pray IV Reign and listening to a live set from Damon Dash Jr, a.k.a Dj Boogz.
