What's the key to blowing up?
Being a ruthless critic of yourself. You have to surround yourself with honest people, but above all you need to be honest with yourself about what's working and what's not.
Staying focused and dedicated is the key to success. I also think it's important to have a strong and honest team working with me.
How do you tell Miss/Mr. Right from Miss/Mr. Right Now?
I could never see myself with a smoker in the long-term, so that exed out a lot off the bat. But the real test was meeting their mother. That'll tell you what they're gonna be like in 20 years.
Mr. Right loves you when you are at your worst, not just your best. Mr. Right Now loves you after the make-up, hair, and styling are done. Mr. Right Now only looks at the surface; Mr. Right looks at everything.
What's the craziest false rumor you've heard about yourself?
I always hear I've bought companies that I haven't. Every week it's a different one. Last week I heard I bought Supreme, and I don't even know those guys.
The craziest rumor, hands down, is that I ever dated Jay-Z.
What's your freakiest hotel experience?
In L.A. someone knocked on my door at 4 a.m. I answer it and this crazy looking woman with facial hair yells, "Go back to Israel or you're dead!"? I ran to the lobby in my robe and alerted the staff. They laughed at me and said she was the crazy lady that lives on five and not to worry about it.
One time in Manchester, we arrived at our hotel after a show to find fans hanging out on my floor. Some were just chilling right outside my door, all with posters and cameras.
What celebrity do people mistake you for?
Believe it or not, Jon Favreau. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I guess it depends if it's Swingers Jon Favreau or PCU Jon Favreau.
I've never been mistaken for anyone else, especially after the haircut.
