After ruling downtown New York City for a decade, skate emporium Supreme has just opened an L.A. branch that will shake up the city’s retail scene.  Almost half of the 2,500 square foot space is devoted a skate bowl by design collective SIMPARCH, a stunning focal point for the brand’s latest shopping showcase.  “We tried to go to the next level in what we’re doing architecturally, artistically and with our merchandise, but still keeping it raw,” says owner James Jebbia.  Like its New York and Tokyo cousins, Supreme L.A. aims to serve skaters first, but the style-conscious guy will want to shop here for Supreme’s jackets and pants, smart-ass print tees, box caps and Nike SB and Vans sneakers.
