Five rules that the Entourage star lives by.

1. Don't be jealous of your siblings.
My brother Matt was basically the biggest teen idol in America for a good five years when we were kids. I never got jealous, I only felt proud. It was actually fun for us, but a little annoying at the same time. Girls would drive by the house all the time-that had its pluses and minuses.
2. Spank your kids a couple times.
You gotta be patient to be a parent, but it's also important to discipline. I'm not a big spanker, but I feel spankings pay dividends later on, especially around the age of two, when kids are going, "No, no, no!" You don't have to do it too many times. A couple times shows them you're for real.
3. Believe in yourself when you're cold.
I went a year without work once. That was pretty scary. Those times really test you, financially and mentally. You think, Oh man, I may never work again. You really gotta hang in there and believe in yourself. I felt, I'm good.
I should work, and I'm gonna work.
4. Don't believe the hype-fame is lame.
Starting out in this business, I thought fame would be great. You want it until you see that you don't have your own time anymore. I'm at a level where it's not as bad as my brother Matt, and it's not as bad for him as it is for Brad Pitt, who can't go anywhere-which is no fun.
5. Don't be too nice to female fans.
You gotta be nice, but I don't want to send out any signals. I'm a happily married man and I don't want to cause any trouble at home. I forgot to put my ring on this morning, but I usually wear it if I'm going out. It's a tough one. It's gotten me in a lot of trouble before.
