New Orleans’ no. 1 Stunna MAKES a video on his stomping grounds

The Birdman has his talons in everything from Cash Money Records to his own Lugz shoe line, so it’s no surprise that he’s multitasking at the video shoot for the second single from his new abum, Fast Money. On location in New Orleans for the appropriately titled “My Neck Of The Woods,” Brian “Baby” Williams is on top of every detail, ensuring that his empire has its best foot forward—rockin’ Birdmans, no doubt.—James Bailey

11:02 AM Baby rolls up in a shiny black Maybach ready for action. The day’s first set is the smaller of two estates Baby owns in a swank gated community just outside New Orleans. After a quick “S’up, ya’ll” to director David Palmer and the film crew, Baby and his extensive posse ramble inside to chill until his first scene.

1:02 PM “Yo man! It’s fuckin’ cold out here! Let’s do this!” With that order, playback begins and Baby and Lil’ Wayne lip–sync their verses of “My Neck Of The Woods,” a thumping ode to the uptown New Orleans ’hood that spawned the Cash Money clique. The father–and–son icons of dirty south hip–hop flow back and forth and side to side while delivering their rhymes against a white backdrop.
