The star of Adrift in Manhattan and Broken weighs in on the battle of the sexes.
As told to Saidah Petrie
Men say: If we watch porn together it will spice up our love life.
Heather Graham: It depends on the relationship. Some girls might get a bit jealous or freaked out. On the other hand, if you’re in a comfortable situation, it might spice it up. I don’t think it’s good, though, if only one person is into it. Personally, it could be fun to try that—but if my boyfriend wanted to do that all the time, I’d think it was creepy.
Men say: If I buy you a drink, you should talk to me for at least five minutes.
Heather Graham: Sometimes people buy me a drink because I’m an actress, so I just think, Oh, that’s sweet. But I don’t feel like I necessarily have to talk to them. If you’re going to give someone something there shouldn’t be any strings attached.
Men say: Pulling out is a perfectly good form of birth control.
Heather Graham: According to this book I was reading,
Taking Charge of Your Fertility, it listed “The Pull Out” as being more effective than the diaphragm and the cervical cap. But that’s only if a guy is actually good at it. I don’t know if a 16-year-old guy can really do that.
