When Sports Illustrated photographed Aline Nakashima for their last two swimsuit issues, they flew the luscious Japanese-Brazilian model to picturesque beaches in Tahiti and her native Brazil. When Complex came calling, we flew—er, drove—Ms. Nakashima to the rarified air of…Coney Island, Brooklyn, home of Nathan’s hot dogs, Astroland, and the dirtiest water this side of your roommate’s bong. With Coney set to become a mammoth resort next summer, we paid homage to the Warriors’ stomping ground with the ultimate Complex bikini babe.

So what do you know about Coney Island?
I know they have the best hot dogs here, right?

Yup, Nathan’s. Ever had one?
No.

Every July 4th they have this contest…
Who’s eating more, right?

Yeah. How many hot dogs do you think you could eat?
I think the most…well, let me tell you, American hot dog is different than Brazilian hot dog. They’re not as big. 

Heyyyy, easy now!
[Laughs.] Let me tell you why, they put like corn, vinaigrette—

Are the Brazilian ones skinny?
No, it’s big, like that. [Makes a huge hand circle.] Look at the size. Yeah, that’s how big they are. And they put like potato skins and other stuff inside the hot dog.

That sounds kind of gross.
No, it’s good. 

And then you just put that whole thing in your mouth?
Yeah. [Laughs uproariously.] So American hot dogs? Maybe three.

The record is over 50 eaten in 12 minutes.
Now that sounds gross.

When did you first arrive in the U.S.?
Six years ago, when I was 20.

I heard that you met your fiancé soon after. What did he say to win you over?
I was walking on the beach and he said to come and talk to him, but I didn’t speak much English. He’s like, “Where are you from?”

Wait, that’s all it took?
No, it was right when I got here and I was so excited because everything was so new for me. 

So this is probably one of the first American dudes…
I met. Yeah. 

So if it was me you met on that beach, who knows?
[Laughs.]  Maybe.
